Hubler Is National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist

Nathan Hubler, a senior at Sallisaw High School, is a 2018 National Merit Scholarship semifinalist.

Hubler will compete for 7,500 scholarships worth more than $32 million.

Hubler, the son of Dr. Parley and Cynthia Hubler, is working on a Sallisaw High School Diploma of Honors Degree and is also dual enrolled in college classes through Carl Albert State College. He is currently taking his college composition classes.

Hubler said he would like to go into the medical field, possibly anesthesiology, but has not decided on a college yet.

He gained the semifinalist standing through the PSAT test last fall, and his advancement to finalist will depend on his SAT scores and continued academic excellence.
