Support Group Provides Childcare

The Pervasive Parenting Parent Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 29 at the Kiamichi Technology Center (KTC) in Stigler.

The Pervasive Parenting Center will offer their monthly parent support group meeting to help the families find resources, talk to other families, and provide moral support for coping with disabilities. This meeting is open to everyone including families, professionals, teachers, etc.

Childcare will be provided for free.

Kodey Toney, director of the Pervasive Parenting Center, said, “One of the things that we have been asked in the past is why we don’t offer respite for the children during support meetings. This has been a real issue for parents - finding some place for their children to go while they receive the help they need. We are trying to help find ways around this obstacle by providing childcare.”

KTC is located at 1410 Old Military Road in Stigler.

This is a support group for families coping with autism and any other disabilities. The group meets to help share resources, advice, and help each other. The meeting is open to everyone including families, professionals, teachers, etc. For more information Toney @ 918-658-5076 or ktoney@pervasiveparentingcenter.org.
