Scholarship Students Honored at Reception

Carl Albert State College - Sallisaw hosted their annual scholarship reception Nov. 3 at the Stites Center on the Sallisaw campus.

Each year the CASC Development Foundation, through the Sallisaw Committee for Excellence, sponsors the Adopt-A-Student program to raise scholarship funds for students attending CASC-Sallisaw. Mandy Roberts, CASC Executive Director of the Development Foundation, explained, “Donations to these scholarships come from CASC regents, trustees, community members, and CASC faculty/staff members.”

Roberts stated the reception is held to recognize student scholarship recipients, honor scholarship donors, and recognize community partners.

“We were very pleased with this year’s crowd, and we appreciate the support of the Sallisaw community for CASC students,” Roberts said. “We were also excited to have CASC business partners attend the reception this year. Along with donors and community support, we have a number of business partners who offer discounts to our CASC students as a way to show their support.”

To become a donor to the Adopt-A-Student program, call the Sallisaw Committee for Excellence Chair Buddy Spencer, or the CASC Development Foundation Office at 918-647-1214.
