Eating good for a good cause is a great way to kick off the weekend.
A smoked pork barbecue lunch will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at the Sallisaw Masonic Lodge. Proceeds from the barbecue will benefit the Sallisaw Special Victims Unit.
The Special Victims Unit helps those who are victims of domestic or child abuse.
The meal includes a barbecue sandwich, chips, barbecue beans, a drink and dessert, and will be $8 per plate.
