Sallisaw Man, Woman Face Drug Charges

In June Sallisaw police conducted several drug investigations which resulted in numerous felony drug charges.

Police Chief Terry Franklin reported that on June 8 police executed a narcotics search warrant at 309 W. Redwood. During the search officers located narcotics along with drug paraphernalia. As a result of the warrant Cody Ryan Cripps, 31, and Chryssa Lynn Drywater, 28, were arrested and booked into the Sequoyah County Jail.

Both Cripps and Drywater were charged June 15 in Sequoyah County District Court with unlawful possession of a controlled drug with the intent to distribute and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cripps and Drywater both entered not guilty pleas to the charges on June 15. She was released the same day on a $2,500 bond. Her next court appearance is set for Aug. 3. He was released June 10 on a $5,000 bond. Cripps is also due in court on Aug. 3.

A third person arrested at the same time has not been charged in district court as of July 5, according to court records.
