John Cripps Honored for Support of Tribal Children

Sallisaw attorney John Cripps, who serves as a municipal and tribal judge, was recently honored at the 16th annual National Tribal Child Support Association Training Conference held in Seattle, Wash.

The Judges Award for Professional Excellence was presented to Cripps on Tuesday. The award is “for exceeding the effort of tribal child support enforcement through diligence and commitment in the best interest of Tribal children.”

Cripps said the award was a surprise. “It has nothing to do with me,” Cripps said. He said the staff of the child support divisions “do all the heavy lifting for our kids.”

He thanked the staff for the award and said, “It is an honor I will cherish.”
