Free@YourLibrary. . .for the Kids

The kids are out of school for the summer, but there are fun things to do to keep them busy, planned by Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library in Sallisaw.

At 10 a.m. Thursday the Jack King Pow Wow Dancers will be performing at the Sallisaw Civic Center.

The Jack King Pow Wow Dancers stated mission is to sponsor, hold and support Native American dance classes, regalia classes and language revitalization programs and support Native American children who are learning about those topics.

Thursday’s program is for children of all ages and is free.

Also on Thursday, at 6 p.m. at the library for the teenagers, the library will present a program on how to train pets. An animal specialist will be on hand to discuss animal training.

Do not bring pets, the library staff cautions. The class is for the teens only.

For information about the library’s programs call 918-775-4481.
