Trash Bins Available for Spring Cleanup


Two Sequoyah County Commissioners are putting out trash bins to help residents with spring cleanup.

District 1 Commissioner Ray Watts will put out bins Saturday (April 16) and will pick them up on Monday (April 18). The bins are for yard waste and debris only, and users are asked not to put waste on the ground beside the bins because it will not be picked up.

In District 1 the bins will be at Moffett, Liberty Fire Department, the Shady Grove Baptist Church and Redland Fire Department.

District 3 Commissioner Jim Rogers will put out the trash bins on April 22 and will pick them up on April 25.

In District 3 the bins are for all trash with the exception of tires and batteries. He also asks that no trash be left on the ground.

In District 3 the bins will be at Anglen’s Grocery in Nicut, the old Caughman's Store, Blunt Baptist Church, Rocky Point Fire Department, at Best Mart in Gans and at the Gans City Hall, at Pier 7 and the Brent Community Center south of Sallisaw, at Reed’s Grocery at State Highways 101 and 64B, at the Central Fire Department, Akins Grocery and Redland Fire Department.
