Cherokee Nation Gives Donation to Sheriff’s Department

Cherokee Nation Council member Brian Warner of Sallisaw recently presented the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department a check from the Cherokee Nation for $5,500. Sheriff Ron Lockhart said the money will be used for new radios and equipment. “We appreciate the Cherokee Nation for the donation,” Lockhart said.
