Lockhart Sentenced for Bomb Threat

Eric Wayne Lockhart, 30, of Muldrow was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. Court in Muskogee for using a telephone to make a bomb threat.

Lockhart was sentenced to 13 months imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced in a press release.

The indictment alleged that on June 15 Lockhart made a telephone threat to kill, injure and intimidate an individual by means of an explosive. Lockhart pled guilty to the charge in October.

The charge was a result of an investigation by the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Lockhart will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until his transportation to a federal prison where he will serve his nonparolable sentence.
