Sallisaw Man Charged with Possession, Contraband

A 31-year-old Sallisaw man was charged Dec. 30 in Sequoyah County District Court with two felony counts – possession of a controlled dangerous substance and bringing contraband into the jail – and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Christopher Nakedhead was arrested Christmas Day in Sallisaw on an Adair County arrest warrant. He was transported to the Sallisaw Police Department and, before he was jailed, was asked if he had anything illegal on his person. Nakedhead answered no, but when he was searched, the jailer found a plastic bag with a white crystalline substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine. Nakedhead was booked on a possession charge and the contraband charge as well as on the arrest warrant.

Nakedhead’s case is on the Feb. 3 disposition docket in district court and he has been appointed an attorney.
