$10,000 Reward Offered for Information about Missing Son

Judge D. Will

The father of a rural Vian man, missing since March 16, 2014, is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved with the disappearance of his son.

Jim Will of Tulsa and his grandson, Cameron, (above, top) met with the media Tuesday morning at the Sequoyah County Courthouse in Sallisaw to announce the reward. Will is seeking information about the disappearance of Judge D. Will,. Sheriff Ron Lockhart reviewed the case. He said Judge D. Will lived in an A-frame home in East Lake Hills, north of Vian. He was visiting with two male friends on March 16, 2014, when he disappeared. The friends said Will told them he had a phone call on his cell phone that he had to take outside on the porch. Will went outside and was never seen again.

Lockhart said that, although the investigation has not turned up any new leads, there are several persons of interest. The two male subjects with Will at the time of his disappearance have been questioned, he added.

“We feel there’s more information out there,” Lockhart said. “We feel there’s more to it than that. (Will disappearing from the back porch of his own home.) We need some help.”

Lockhart added that there has been no activity on Judge D. Will’s cell phone or his bank account since his disappearance.

Jim Will teared up when talking about his son, now age 40. Judge D. Will is described as five feet, eight inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes. He weighs 160 pounds.

Jim Will said Judge is his only child. He said, “Judge was a good person, a hard worker. He would give you the shirt off his back.”

Will said he referred to his son in the past tense because he does not believe he is alive. The father said the son would not have left the pets that he loved, or his keys or his wallet behind, all of which were found in the home.

Both father and son are millwrights, Jim Will said. Jim Will lives in Tulsa, and Judge Will’s home is now occupied by his uncle.

“It’s hard for me to think about it,” Jim Will said about his son’s disappearance, “much less talk about it.”

Jim Will thanked the sheriff’s office for all that has been done in the investigation.

“If anyone has any information please contact the sheriff’s office,” Will said.

The contact numbers are 918-775-9155 at the sheriff’s office; 918-404-4357 for the Sequoyah County Tip Line; and 918-773-5383 for Jim Will.

Jim Will’s grandson and Judge Will’s son, Cameron, now 15, concluded the press conference with, “I would do anything if someone would help me find my dad.”

Cameron now lives with his grandfather.
