Sallisaw Youth Coalition (SYC) members handed out magnets Thursday morning to cars going into Sallisaw High School. The magnets had a message to not use drugs and alcohol. The SYC held the giveaway as part of Red Ribbon Week. Participating students were Emily Hammons, Whitney Dobbs, Lalita Smith, Braden Likens, Elijah Davis, Madison Huff, Adyson Holt, Claire Craghead, Katie Raney, Payton Karr, Brittany Mattingly, Blake Karr and Kade Mendiola. The School Resource Officer and Sharon Day, project director, assisted.
