Vandals struck the Perry F. Lattimore football stadium during the overnight hours Thursday. The damage was discovered by school officials early Friday morning.
According to Sallisaw Public School Superintendent Scott Farmer the damage was minor and non-permanent. Farmer stated that he had reached out to the administration of Poteau Schools and they would be working together to investigate the incident.
The damage included spray painting on a hanging mat, a spray painted sign and other minor damage.
Sallisaw will host Poteau tonight in a 4A-4 district match-up.
