Halloween Will Be Dry, Weathermen Predict

Trick-or-Treaters rejoice. The rain that weather forecasters predicted for Halloween night has been cancelled.

Halloween on Elm Street in Sallisaw, sponsored by the Sallisaw Police Department, is gearing up to go without umbrellas and raincoats, and with 35 or more booths planned. The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Featured this year, along with lots of free candy, will be carnival games for the kids with prizes, a double-slide inflatable with an obstacle course, free cotton candy and photos, and a live broadcast by The Mix 105.1.

So kids, costume up and come on down.
