Subpoenas Seek Journey Church, Former Pastor's Financial Records

The State of Oklahoma has demanded the financial records of Journey Church in Sallisaw and from its "former pastor Jeffrey Allred" and his wife, Stephanie. Four subpoenas for the records were delivered Wednesday and Thursday.

The first subpoena requests Capitol One credit card records/statements for Journey Church believed to be in possession of the church. The subpoena noted that a Sallisaw police detective has been assigned to a report "in reference to EMBEZZLEMENT. Upon a receipt audit being done at the Journey Church, they believe that money has been misused by the former pastor Jeffrey Allred."

The second subpoena, using the same cause for the subpoena, requests the banking records for Journey Church, and includes an attached list of items requested. The time period is from Jan. 1, 2012, through the present. The list includes bank account records, credit card records, loan records, the purchase of bank checks, investment accounts and other records, including "all records used to create (the) suspicious activity report."

The third subpoena, using the same cause for the subpoena, requests, "banking records for Jeffrey and Stephanie Allred," and also includes an itemized list, for the period of Jan. 1, 2012, through the present. The subpoena asks for bank account records, credit card records, loan records, purchase of bank checks, investment accounts, and other records including, "All records used to create suspicious activity report."

The fourth subpoena, using the same cause for the subpoena, requests "from Journey Church records of an itemized budget to include but not limited to employee salaries for the years of 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015; Any and all documents including but not limited to receipts; invoices; statements of the Journey Church PayPal Account for the time period of 2010-2015; W2's for Jeffrey Allred and Stephanie Allred for the time period of 2010-2015; the recorded minutes and any all records for business meetings for the Journey Church for the time period of 2014-2015."

At the time of this report, the Sequoyah County District Attorney's office has closed for the weekend and holiday and no further information is available at this time.
