Stilwell Man Dies Following Crash

A 47-year-old Stilwell man is dead after a one-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 59, north of Sallisaw, Sunday evening.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported Ronald Sinclair died from internal trunk injuries at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa at about 4 a.m. Monday. He was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital following the crash.

The OHP reported Sinclair was driving a 1999 Hyundai south on U.S. Highway 59 north of Sallisaw when the car left the road to the right, ramped over a county road and went airborne for about 81 feet. The vehicle hit and rolled twice before coming to a stop. The OHP reported Sinclair was thrown about 57 feet from the vehicle.

The OHP is still investigating the crash.
