The U.S. Attorney's Office in Muskogee announced Thursday that Clinton James Jones, 34, of Sallisaw was sentenced to 54 months imprisonment for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The charge resulted from an investigation by Sallisaw police and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Jones entered a guilty plea in April.
Jones remains in the custody of the U.S Marshal Service pending transport to a federal prison where he will serve his non-parolable sentence.
