Two Sallisaw men, arrested June 20 by Sallisaw police for armed robbery with a firearm, were charged with multiple counts July 2 in Sequoyah County District Court in Sallisaw.

Dequan Isaac Scott and Jacob Ray Howard, both age 19 and both of Sallisaw, are both charged with first degree burglary, robbery with a weapon, possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony, unlawfully wearing a mask or hood, and larceny of controlled dangerous substances. They have entered not guilty pleas to the charges and are on Associate District Judge Kyle Waters' disposition docket on Wednesday.

At the time of the suspects' arrests, police said a resident in Ramm's Trailer Park reported an armed robbery. Police arrested the two the following day, on June 20, and after they obtained evidence against the two suspects and recovered the stolen property.
