Silver Alert Issued for Missing Man

A Silver Alert has been issued for a 76-year-old California man last believed to have been seen in Sallisaw. According to Sallsiaw Police Chief Terry Franklin officers with the Sallisaw Police Department were dispatched earlier today to the McDonalds in Sallisaw in reference to a missing person report. Officers met with Nancy Mora, daughter of the reported missing person. Mora stated that her father, James Russell Sigler, had been traveling from Lucerne Valley, California on a Greyhound Bus. Sigler reportedly left Oklahoma City on a Greyhound bus that made a stop in Sallisaw on July 17. According to Franklin, Mora stated that  when the bus arrived in Fort Smith her father's bags were on the bus but he was not. An employee of the Sallisaw McDonalds stated that they believed they saw Sigler. He was last seen wearing a brown cowboy hat, a gray and plaid short sleeved shirt, Wrangler blue jeans, and black leather shoes.

Franklin stated that Sigler has gallbladder cancer and onset symptoms of dementia. "A Silver Alert has been issued for Sigler at this time. If you know of Sigler's whereabouts please contact the Sallisaw Police Department at (918)775-4141."
