Public Asked to Help Solve Burglary

Six chainsaws were stolen from the Sallisaw True Value hardware store some time on the nights of July 19-20, Sallisaw Police report.

Sallisaw Police Chief Terry Franklin said the break in was discovered when staff arrived at about 7 a.m. Monday. Franklin said, "Entry was gained through the west front glass door. It was broken out. The suspect or suspects appeared to have left the same way." The chainsaws were Stihl brand.

Franklin said police are asking for the public's help. "We are working on it and we ask that if anyone saw anything-maybe a vehicle-please contact us." Anyone with any information may call 918-775-4177 and ask to speak to the police detectives.
