One man was hospitalized and one man was arrested following an alleged stabbing Sunday night. Sallisaw Police Chief Terry Franklin reported Karl Vincent Ortiz, 48, was arrested following the stabbing which sent another man to the hospital. Franklin said police received a call at about 10 p.m. Sunday that there had been a stabbing in the 400 block of East Iola Street. Officers found a 46-year-old man with a puncture wound to the left side of his stomach. The man was transported to Sequoyah Memorial Hospital in Sallisaw and later flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
