Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart said Monday there has been no information about a suspect who fled from police Saturday night. Lawrence Patterson, a black male, crashed his vehicle at the Interstate 40 exit at Vian, Lockhart said. Patterson fled on foot before deputies, responding to the crash call, arrived.
Lockhart said he believed Patterson was wanted on a Sebastian County warrant for robbery, which is why he fled from the crash scene.
