Those seeking posts in five county community governments will begin filing today for those elections with the Sequoyah County Election Board in Sallisaw. The filing period runs from 8 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Wednesday. The posts are:
-GoreWards 1, 3, and 5 trustees for four-year terms,
-Muldrow Wards, 1, 3, and 5 trustees for four-year terms,
-Paradise Hills 3 trustees 2 for a four-year-term and 1 for an unexpired two-year term,
-Roland Ward 1, 3 and 5 trustees for four-year terms and town/clerk treasurer for a four year term.,
-Vian Seats 1, 3 and 5 for four-year terms, and town clerk/treasurer for a four-year term.
Cindy Osborn, Sequoyah County Election Board secretary, said the municipal elections will be held April 7.
