District Court Arraignment Set for Gray, Brannon

Two persons accused of leaving a Muldrow teen, Christian Mayberry, in a ditch after an ATV wreck on Sept. 1, 2013, waived their rights to a preliminary hearing on Friday in Sequoyah County District Court, Sallisaw. Judge Larry Langley set district court arraignment for Angela Gray, 39, and Kyle Lewis Brannon, 19, for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 3. A trial date may be set then. District Judge Jeff Payton will oversee the arraignments. Gray is charged with failure to stop accident resulting in non-fatal injury, contributing to the delinquency of minors and selling or furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor. Brannon is charged with being an accessory after the fact and misdemeanor charges of destroying evidence and obstructing an officer. Both have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
