An auto-truck tractor crash sent a woman to the hospital Wednesday. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Kami Faye Elmore, 36, of Watts was driving her 2000 Buick Century east on Chewy Road, when she crossed the center line and struck the westbound 1998 Peterbuilt truck tractor driven by Jackie Eugene Shofner, 58, of Muldrow. The OHP reported Shofner was not injured in the wreck. Elmore was transported by Life-Flight to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark., where she was admitted in stable condition with arm and leg injuries. The crash occurred at 3:06 p.m., about four miles north of Westville in Adair County, the OHP reported. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director
