Sallisaw Fire and Police Departments to Participate in ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has reached both the Sallisaw Police Department and the Sallisaw Fire Department. On Monday at 5:30 p.m., behind the Police Station and and just behind the Fire Department, located on Walnut Street, both departments will take the challenge. Front end loader buckets, loaded with ice water, will soak our hard working fire fighters and police officers. Both fire fighters and police officers will be making personal donations to the ALS organization. Join The Mix as we broadcast live from the Ice Bucket Challenge event this Monday at 5:30 p.m. Sallisaw Mayor Julie Ferguson will be dumping the ice water on the participants. Come watch this fun event to benefit the ALS organization. The Mix will be accepting donations to be sent to the ALS organization.
