Trooper Faces Additional Charge

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Joshua Eli Davies, 33, is now facing another charge, in addition to driving under the influence, filed July 9 after a wreck July 3 on Applegate Cove Road, south of Sallisaw, which damaged his vehicle and destroyed an OHP patrol boat. First Assistant District Attorney Jack Thorp announced Thursday that Davies will also be charged with a misdemeanor count of carrying a firearm while intoxicated. Thorp said the charge carries a range of punishment from $50 to $500 fine and/of 10 days to six months in the county jail. Davies is on administrative leave from his lake patrol post while an OHP internal investigation is conducted. By Sally Maxwell, Senior News Director

  2. No there was an earlier story saying that he was place on unpaid leave pending an IA investigation. So pretty much he's been fired, but they can't make it offical until after the investigation and it gives him a chance to resign before hand.
